EP. 22: Andy Walsh, phd
Andy Walsh is the Chief Science Officer at Health Monitoring, a public health software company that helps epidemiologists collect available healthcare data.
In junior high, he felt a connection towards computer programming helping to find cures for diseases such as HIV. He focused on software development algorithm skills at Carnegie Mellon. He then graduated from Carnegie Mellon with a BS in biological sciences and earned his PhD in molecular microbiology and immunology.
Dr. Walsh Spends a lot of time interacting with faith and science issues, especially for young people. He has an ongoing blog where he writes about science and faith for the Emerging Scholars Network, which is a ministry of the Intervarsity Christian Fellowship. His novel, Faith Across the Multiverse, explores concepts from contemporary science to reveal more about God.
